The good folks at Twist & Fader are turning two years old in April, and they’re giving all kinds of awesome deals.
Owned by Primary’s Derek Specs, Twist & Fader is a musical production studio and instrument store, not to mention a gear head’s dream home. The studio is well loved by people in Chicago’s dance music community (It’s gotten all 5 star reviews on its Facebook page). They also have a livestream lab where many of Chicago’s finest have graced their tables.
To celebrate their second anniversary, Twist & Fader will be offering $15 an hour DJing practice at the LiveLab using their Void sound system. The first hour of studio sessions will be free and it will be 50% off for all LiveLab rentals with stream and mastered recordings. LiveLab sessions can fit up to 50 people.
Located in the vintage Patio Theater Building, Twist & Fader is at 6012 W. Irving Park Rd. Find out more about this at twistandfader.com and on Facebook.
Some of Twist & Fader’s public reviews:
“I love this place like it is my home 😉 For real, though…Derek is making an amazing resource available to the community in the widest way possible. If you’re looking to finish a record or struggling to jump-start your practice for any reason (transitioning to digital, utilizing analog, writing challenges, whatever) please think about dropping a line.” (TJ Pallas)
“Always feel at home here! The look of the place and the vibe are equally matched by the amazing sound in the studio booths and the live lab!!” (Jerron Carlson)
“Had an awesome DJ session, this place is amazing and I’ll absolutely be returning for my sessions” (Michael V. Pietanza)
