In case you missed it in June, BBE is re-stocking a 12″ from Jamie 3:26 that sold out in near record time.
The A Taste of Chicago Sampler – a taste of a taste, named after the Taste – is the teaser for Jamie’s forthcoming BBE compilation. The standout track is his remix of Calendar’s “Comin’ On Strong” from the group’s debut (and I think only) album It’s A Monster.
Why we like it? There can never be too many flutes in house music, the guitar is really stompin’ and the frenzy that kicks in at the six minute mark is beyond words:
But mostly we like it because it’s BBE and Jamie 3:26.
Chicago folks and vinyl diggers know this originally released on The Basement Edits Vol One with “Dr. Fuck” – a record that’s apparently scarcely more rare than this one has turned out to be. A Taste of Chicago Sampler 12″ will be back in stock in August.
