The trio discuss their impression of this year’s event as the conference continues to develop, as well as tackling the issue of mental health in the music industry; a subject which hung heavy over the entire event due to the recent news of Avicii’s suicide.

All three had been profoundly moved by the previous night’s screening of a poignant documentary called “Why We DJ – Slaves To The Rhythm”:

Also discussed is the issue of piracy, provoked by a seminar at this year’s event at which a representative from a piracy protection company actually recommended delivering music certain pirate sites in order to boost your profile, which came as a surprise to us all.

More to come soon from the Brighton Music Conference, including snippets from Irvine Welsh’s fantastic keynote, plus a conversation with producer and music writer Harold Heath.
