Cassy Launches New Label with Demuir & Their Please Me EP

Kwench Records is one to watch.

Kwench Records is Cassy’s new label, an imprint created to “represent honest and upfront house music.” A fitting first recruit, then, is Demuir, with whom she collaborates on Please Me. “Stand Up (Your Life)” is a driving techno track (and possibly could be used as a DJ tool), punctuated by the vocal sample imploring you to get off your knees before someone mistakes it for your natural position.

The title track brings to mind the mental ’90s tracks Armando used to make: rude acid tweaks, reverbed vocal clips and drums underneath that sound like the working of big industry. There is apparently an “incredible” remix packaging following, but this wax gives us enough to play with for awhile.
