“Space Calling” grew on me the more I played it, to the point where it became a workhorse in my daily driving routine. It takes its time getting started and I think that’s the sticking point. Some people will use this as a glue track between two bangers, but at two minutes in, “Space Calling” really turns up the heat, and the piped in crowd noise battling with astronaut FX seems to be a signal to set it off. The more I listened the more I appreciated the way this could fit in at the start, center or even to herald a second wind in a DJ set. No harm here with the remix by Palm Beach Brothers, either.
Guess Records continually puts out tracks like this – tracks that are a working DJ’s best friend.
