So much to love here and I feel like this is going to find a whole new audience now that the vinyl is out. Ibadan brings together Janne Tavi, a Finnish producer, with the legendary Robert Owens and welcomes Kerri Chandler back to Ibadan to remix it.

“The Other Man” is defined by Owens’ soulful vocal; but there’s a lot of work to make a record like this come off so smooth. Janne Tavi’s work on production is subtle and supportive; it disappears when Owens grabs the lyric and reappears in between, providing the solid foundation to let one of the artistic geniuses of House Music shine. Kerri Chandler returns to the imprint that brought to the world some of his greatest hits with two deep, energetic remixes.
