Two guys from Chicago but now elsewhere walk into a studio. Farina Banger comes out of it, made by one and named after the other. This is an EP dripping with Chicago nuance like a greasy bit of wax paper fished out of the parking lot trash outside Lawrence Fisheries. “Farina Banger” is vintage Sneak, made by modern Sneak: saturated with samples and FX, it just bangs. “Love Acid” is the secret sauce here, but “After Rosario,” after Ralphi Rosario, is an interesting dubbed out take on the title track.
Mark usually fixes the spotlight of Great Lakes Audio on up and comers, but this is obviously a special release.
