There’s a new show in town – a new festival in Chicago I mean, and one that’s skated under the radar for me at least until a friend invited me to the event page over this past weekend.
Myth Fest is a two day electronic music festival in Chicago, purporting to be “Chicago’s only underground music festival.” Promising a theme and visuals inspired by Greek mythology, Myth Fest is June 18 and June 19 2016 and features headliners including:
Huxley
Waze & Odyssey
Jonas Rathsman
Heartthrob
Sascha Braemer
Junior Sanchez
Eddie “Flashin’” Fowlkes
Terrence Dixon
Tyree Cooper
and more (there’s a further list below), featuring a pretty unique combination of Chicago and international talent. Much of the Chicago talent is also the kind that doesn’t play shows very often but should (I’m thinking here in particular of DJ Skull, Hieroglyphic Being, etc.)
Myth Fest begins daily June 18-19 2016 in Chicago at 11am and runs until midnight with two stages powered by Funktion One. Tickets are available at mythfest.com.
Further lineup:
Mike Gervais, Project313, Ninetoes, Thomas Gandey, DJ Skull, Charles Ramirez, Hieroglyphic Being, Bucky Fargo, Andrew Emil, DJ Heather, Dustin Sheridan, Russoul, House Preservation Society, Argot Soundsystem, Derek Specs, No Rabbitz, Lovra, Amy Unland, Wojack, Hunter Vita, Miester, Wyatt Agard, Aubrey Lee, DJoly, Vynal K, Bill Basil, Shany Ray, Hiroko Yamamura, Blu 9.
