It’s one part industry mixer, one part fundraiser for those in need and 100% all about the love.
Coming on Memorial Day, Monday May 26 2025 in Detroit, TV Lounge, Charivari, Fusicology, Roland and Berklee NYC present an industry mixer and fundraiser to honor the legendary Juan Atkins and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Metroplex Records, the label Atkins founded in 1985.
The event at TV Lounge in Detroit will include live art activation by artist Abdul Qadim Haqq, illustrator of some of the most iconic Detroit techno records, a DJ set by Detroit techno legend Eddie Fowlkes, plus complimentary bites and an opportunity to connect with the Detroit creative community.
Matthew Chicoine (DJ Recloose) and Mar Keith Anthony from Roland Corporation / ローランド株式会社 along with Dan Pembroke from Berklee NYC are available to answer any questions from the media.
The event is from 1pm to 4pm at TV Lounge (2548 Grand River Ave., Detroit, MI.) Tickets are available at tvloungedetroit.com. All proceeds will benefit Love Only, a Detroit-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing home-cooked meals to those in need.
