We’re another step closer to DJ streaming today. Native Instruments has released a demo showcasing the DJ streaming capabilities of their entry-level, free Traktor DJ 2 software.
A new video illustrates the software’s SoundCloud Go+ integration, designed for DJs to stream tracks from likes and playlists on Soundcloud directly into a live DJ set.
SoundCloud was the first streaming platform to announce the coming integration with DJ software and controllers from their platform. To encourage adoption, Native Instruments has built-in a 30 day free demo of SoundCloud Go, the company’s largely failed consumer streaming option which is being adapted to DJ streaming and other specialized uses, directly from the Traktor DJ 2 app.
Last week Beatport announced their Link platform, in beta release and which will enable DJs to stream more than 7 million tracks from Beatport’s platform.
The desktop version of Traktor DJ 2 is available free from Native Instruments’ site; the app is free from the iOS App Store.
