Kraftwerk Announces Dates for 50 Year (!) Anniversary Tour

Kraftwerk turns 50 with a 27 date North American tour this summer.

German electronic trailblazers Kraftwerk are embarking on a 27 date tour of North America this summer in celebration of the group’s 50 year anniversary.

Tickets are on sale now for the tour, which opens June 19 in Seattle and closes on August 1 in Montreal. Kraftwerk will be performing at pretty much every major city in between, including June 24 in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium, July 18 at Radio City Music Hall and July 21 in Chicago at the Aragon.

Like many bands of their vintage, Kraftwerk’s live ensemble has one founding member (Ralf Hütter) with Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert and Falk Grieffenhagen joining him as fellow, uh, “stand-ins.”
