The 2022 Grammy Award nominations were announced today, and amidst the usual curdled cheese from the likes of David Guetta (remember when he brought house music to America?) and Tiesto are some familiar names.

Ten City‘s Ultra-released album Judgement was nominated in the Best Dance/Electronic Album. Among the other nominees are Black Coffee’s Subconsciously, ILLENIUM’s Fallen Embers, Jock Jacque’s Creepshots, Major Lazer’s Music Is The Weapon (Reloaded), Marshmello’s Shockwave and Sylvan Esso’s Free Love. (Note: I made up one of these. See if you can find it.)

There’s also an interesting entry in the Best Remixed Recording category where Booker T‘s Kings of Soul Satta Dub of Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life” was nominated. Others nominated in the same category include Alexander Crossan, Mike Shinoda, Dave Audé, 3SCAPE DRM, Tracy Young and Spencer Bastin.

This year’s Grammy Awards will be held on Jan. 31, 2022 in Los Angeles. Congrats!
