We just unearthed this video from 5 Mag's five year anniversary project archives in which the legendary DJ Funk talks about the history of ghetto house music, where it came from and what it's about.

DJ Funk, one of the pioneers of ghetto house music and a dance music icon, has been "bravely battling stage 4 cancer" but now "doesn't have much longer left," in an appeal released by his family. Funk is now "facing the heartbreaking reality of planning for his final farewell."
