Classic, soul’d up deep house is making a return to my personal playlist and maybe yours too, and you won’t find a finer specimen this week than “Leaving U” by Pittsburgh’s C. Scott.
“Leaving U” is the lead track and the best track on C. Scott’s forthcoming EP of the same name, coming this Friday October 2 on Pittsburgh Track Authority’s Pittsburgh Tracks label. The vocal sample on “Leaving U” is a work of art and the chords backing it make this the real shit for deep house DJs who need this kind of filtered delirium pumping through their sets. Listen:
