Baltimore Chop photo

Quickly becoming one of my favorite Russian deep house producers, Baltimore Chop shows a techier side on the new Solar System EP. As the name implies, this one lines up in the proud lineage of deep techno inspired by space, rocketry and a slightly psychedelic cosmology. “Sphere and “Keep Up With The Progress” both stand out, but the four tracks here have a common DNA — deep techno excursions infused with atmospheric vibes, warm sweeps and a soulful bounce deep down in their machine heart. Whether he’s gotten his hands on the analog gear or simply found some extremely good emulation, Baltimore Chop knocks these together so good you might think you lost this one at a warehouse in 1996 and found it again 25 years later.
