DJ Lolo Knows, for long a fixture in the Midwest scene, makes her debut on the Import Tracks label with an assist from Jordan Martinez (a talented producer and also her son).
“Say Ya Love” is a lovely and dancer-friendly track. “We’ve got to live together / Can’t you see” is a straightforward and direct message with a great hook and sassy Barbara Tucker-like delivery. The original has a progressive build (in a friendly, Roger Sanchez in his prime way) which Govan Jones takes into a tech house direct on the first remix.
The second remix is from Col Lawton whose music has appeared on Salted and i! Records of late, breaking “Say Ya Love” down into pieces and putting them back together. A promising debut!
