These guys sure are committed to this wirey Italo-electro sound and if you like it you’ll have a lot of things to make you happy on Dayskipper, PBR Streetgang‘s new EP on 10Questions.
The title track would make a fantastic theme song for the swaggering anti-hero in a sequel to the movie Drive. “Knockout” rocks the house with skeletal 808-style drums and a vintage beatbox aesthetic. “Chi-Lite” is the housiest of the tracks, but in a wrap-around retro Liz Torres/Master C&J sort of style.
10Questions is the new label from Lars Dales of Dam Swindle and graphic designer Bas Koopmans focusing on these types of records, and from the looks of it will rival Heist with some choice selections.
