I was really into the original of All Rize from earlier this year, so was intrigued to hear how these remixes turned out. Parisian Samaran’s take on it turns up the electro-house elements and gives it a bit of shoulder-shrugging-skip in the beats department, and if you’re into this sound then this mix will probably do it for you but apologies to all involved, it doesn’t really add anything to the original for me…
However, Harry Romero serves up a remix and a dub that are both absolute dancefloor fire, digging out the funk in the original version then making that the very centre of things, building one of his circling, looping, grooves that you can just let roll till the breakdown arrives just in time to absolutely smash up your dancefloor. The dub has the same rolling groove with an additional simple stab chord and a few other production changes, and is like a stripped-back, tougher, underground version of the main remix. Both of them are killer grooves, and I’ve said it before with main mixes and dubs like this but I’m going to say it again, DJs, get that dub and main mix and work them together for a while: this groove is of a high enough quality that you could really spend some time rinsing it out and your dancers will thank you.
