Two Oliver Dollar collab-originals and one remix make up the first of his Contemporary series releases.

First up you get the buoyant, driving, slick and soulful house of “Before You” featuring Apropos, made with producer and Infolines label boss ADMN. It’s soulful house that comes with b-i-i-i-g synth pad chords that make for a fresh take on the soulful genre.

The Austin Ato collaboration “Portomento Track” is a full-on euphoric stew of string samples, piano chords and impassioned vocal that sounds like it was recorded in church.

I liked Dollar’s “Strings 4 Life” track from last year, and it’s received a really good remix here from Michigander label boss Brian Kage, who gives the beats some extra slap, chops the main string riff around a little and gives the whole production a little French-touch pump.
