Delano Smith Brian Kage Keep 'Em Movin' album art

By the time it marked its seventh release, Brian Kage’s Michigander label has already worked with luminaries including Omar-S, Taho and now back to Detroit for a collaboration with Delano Smith. “Keep ‘Em Moving” is a pitch-perfect deep house track, with keys twinkling like distant city lights and driving percussion pulling them to within reach. B-side cut “For The Music” is a treat for DJs — at nearly eight minutes of vibrating beats and bass with some spoken word dropped in, it’s a masterful DJ tool in expert hands, a laid back piece that would fit nicely in a deep and Afro house set or a track to put your foot on the clutch and dial it back and let the vibe simmer for a minute.
