Whim-ee featuring Myles Sergé: Community

Out now with Norm Talley & Plural remixes from Technorama.

I don’t know how anyone keeps their ear to the ground anymore, but following Jenifa Mayanja has introduced me to a plethora of interesting artists that have either collaborated with her or benefited from her remixing or A&R skills.

I found Whim-ee from a strange 7″ record (which I still haven’t laid my hands on) she split with Jenifa in 2016 called Break The Rules. It was released on Whim-ee’s W-EE Records and her track “Tree” on the b-side had that kind of melodic squeeze box sound that I adore.

“Community” featuring Myles Sergé is a rousing deep house track, lifted higher still with a stripped back funky remix from the brilliant Norm Talley. “To The Good, To The Bad” is a cut of electrifying, driving techno – again, more driving still in Plural’s closing remix.
