Coming up on Memorial Day weekend is the much anticipated Chicago House Party at Millennium Park on Saturday, May 28th. Featuring some of the biggest stars of House Music performing live and with DJ sets, it promises to continue the tradition that the Chicago Cultural Center has been doling out with massive outdoor events dedicated to the home of House.

But outside of just entertaining us, the center is also doing a panel discussion in order to keep our cultural discourse alive. This time long time Producer and DJ Craig Loftis (aka Grand High Priest) will be leading and moderating the discussion entitled “How do we make HOUSE a home for the next generation?”

Always cognizant of the great divide in Chicago between the north and south sides, old school and new school, Craig hopes to bridge the gap and create dialogue between the two very distinct camps. The panelists will include:

Alan King
Lori Branch
Glenn Underground
Traxman
Dee Jay Alicia
Dj A Train
J-Lektro
DJ Tiger
Czarina Mirani
DJ Lil John
Danny Digable

The Chicago House Panel Discussion takes place on Saturday, May 28 2016 at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington) at the Claudia Cassidy Theater (2nd floor) from 12pm-2:30pm. The Chicago House Party will follow from 3pm-9pm at the Millennium Park.

Both are free and open to the public.
