Have you had enough of the summer announcements? Are you not entertained?

Well, we’ve got one more.

Last year was pretty much the high-water mark for dance music events in Chicago. We came to call it “The Summer of House” and to our surprise the name caught on. Every weekend (and sometimes several weekdays in between) there was something new, something big and often something in the open air to soak up the lazy summertime days and nights.

And it’s happening again. The latest: Chicago House Party, a simple name for a blowout presented by the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

Coming May 28 2016, Chicago House Party will take place in the beautiful open air Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park from 3pm until 9pm in a citywide celebration of Chicago House Music with a roster packed with House Music legends.

The line-up:

LIVE ARTISTS:

The House Legacy Project featuring Byron Stingily (Ten City), Dajae, Lidell Townsell, Faith Howard, Paris Brightledge, Ronnell, Kim Jay and First Lady; hosted by Dana Divine of WGCI 107.5.
Peven Everett
The Vick Lavender Ensemble

DJ SETS:

Joe Smooth
Steve Miggedy Maestro
Superjane’s DJ Heather and Lady D

This event is FREE. I’m pretty sure we’ll see you and 10,000+ more of your closest friends there.
