Musician, producer and composer Mark de Clive-Lowe is kicking off a nationwide tour of free workshops across the United States, which pulls into Chicago this April 18.

Native Instruments and SAE Institute are sponsors for the eight date/two week tour which will see the acclaimed veteran of the broken beat and nu jazz movements and all forms of soul music visiting SAE Instutute and Ex’pression College campuses in Los Angeles, San Jose, New York, Nashville, Atlanta and Miami.

And Chicago. The SAE Institute will be hosting a workshop on April 18 from 2pm until 4pm at their campus at 820 N Orleans St. #125 in River North.

“I’m a big proponent of technology,” Mark told us, “and Native Instruments are leading the way when it comes to digital innovation and software/hardware hybrids. Education is another thing I’m passionate about so this is a great way to combine it all together and share it with people.”

The workshops will feature Mark de Clive-Lowe demonstrating his own creative workflow using KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboards and MASCHINE as a unified system, both live in performance mode as well as for writing and production. As part of the workshop, there will also be a Q&A session with Mark answering your own production queries. The workshops are free but space is limited; see sae.edu for more info.
