This split EP features Autre and D Roots, two up and coming producers remixed by some of the best in the business. Autarchy Records marks its second release with Various Artists 002 on vinyl.
The A side is given over to Autre’s “Prima,” an energetic, atmospheric techno banger reminiscent of Juan Atkins and Eddie Fowlkes. Juju and Jordash’s remix is spellbinding, a dazzling mosaic of wild bass, steel against steel and glittering keys rolling from speaker to speaker.
On the B side, “ASMR” by D Roots gets worked over by Hiver, whose original productions have been received here warmly. This is a solid EP of tracks that fit together under one flag despite their disparate authors.
