I’ve known about Ron S. for probably as long as I’ve known about techno. The DJ and producer founded Anode Recordings (“the first techno music label from St. Louis,” and I can’t think of a predecessor either) in 1996. He’s also released music on 314Techno, Deep Taste, Three Dot House, Sweep the Floor, Demiurge, Krunch Audio, Gibbon Records and a lot more.
This year Ron has had a couple of great records pass through the digital crate, including Exurban Exile from the celebrated UKR and Blackjack on his own Anode, which I wrote about here. His latest cuts were Future Primitive (Konfused Konfliction) and PH Balance (AcidWorx).
Ron has a flair for making the kind of techno that puts me in my happy place – clean, glistening, pulsating, hypnotic. And I’m thrilled to present our latest 5 Mag Mix from him. ✌️
