You remember THOSE remixes? Huge vocals, looped into a spiral with big chords and generally progressive vibe? They often had a vaguely indie rock aesthetic buried beneath the tangle of electronics and while they weren’t all Andy Weatherall remixes of Happy Mondays… he did a lot of them, and a lot of them were.

That unnamed pseudo-genre appears to be the guiding light for “Get It On,” better to be remembered as “Oh Yeah” for the hypnotic sample (no snitches) that Franck Roger loops to devastating effect.

After a decade of silence Real Tone is pumping out tracks like it was created by Bandcamp natives rather than founded three years before Bandcamp even existed. (And if you want to know why that hiatus happened, read our cover story from 2021 on Real Tone’s hibernation & resurrection.)

Franck Roger hasn’t released music at this clip in several years; even better, all of them up to this point, like “Get It On,” have been from Roger himself.
