Here’s a fresh collaboration from two of best producers making Chicago house in the Chicago house tradition in Year of Our Lord 2020. I feel like I’ve swallowed helium when I listen to Ed Nine‘s records — his tracks for Jorge Caiado’s Inner Balance have been phenomenal, two of the best deep house EPs made by someone other than Kai Alcé in the last couple of years. Here he teams up with another guy I’ve run out of words for, Kid Enigma, for two tracks straight out the Chicago (House) Manual of Style.
“Provide” is going to get the most attention but “Floss” with its moody chords and spiky jackin hats will get the most traction in DJ sets. There is absolutely no reason why both of these tracks should not have a home in your bag:
