A little more than a year ago, Alex Agore rode his sound into a soulful new direction with the release of his Perspective LP and the founding of a new outlet for his records, Moment of Truth.
Hooked is his latest – an EP with a sound balanced and carefully tempered into of those two sides from Alex Agore’s recent discography. The big chords are still rising out of the midst and sweet, candied vocals bounce on top of them. Energy and soul, you might say – energetic, dancefloor-ready house without sacrificing the soulful tunefulness.
