Black Cadmium return to Vault Wax on “Our Legacy”

When I heard Black Cadmium’s first release on Vault Wax, I didn’t think they were real. Most of the promos sent to This five track EP is magnificent, driven by a bass-heavy carburetor boogie with synths like flashes of burning chrome. “I Told Ya” sounds like music from the end of the world, a track held together by a welding torch and a gummy acid squelch. “004” presents a darker side, with more grit than flare; “Bohemian” the kind of celestial techno infused with biting funk that makes you remember how wonderful this all is when it’s done by people who love what they do and do what they love.
