Just like musicians and athletes, labels can find themselves in a groove where every improvisation makes a beautiful sound and the bucket is as big as the ocean.
Moment of Truth has hit that state of satori. Three EPs from Alex Agore have come in hot and each has been better and built upon the scaffolding of the last. “Fall Down” sees Agore building his tracks around the melody of the human voice, vocals that are often no more than the cut samples familiar to his older deep house productions but played longer, almost lovingly, and allowed to draw the rest of the musical elements under its influence. The title track is quite beautiful, full of vibrant flourishes and a fat organ that holds everything together under the hood.
