Love is still the message: more 7″ edits from Danny Krivit

Mr. K’s records on Most Excellent Unlimited represent the greatest edit series going and it’s not even close. This 7″ was released in late September and it’s a small miracle there are still any in stock. Some DJs sleep and some DJs will weep when they find a five and a half minute cut of Danny Krivit‘s legendary edit of MFSB’s “Love Is The Message.” Few edits can really be called that — legendary — but the TD Records edit certainly is. This trimmed down version keeps the focus on Leon Huff’s electrifying solo on the keys.

On the flip is a 7″ edit of the Isaac Hayes classic “I Can’t Turn Around” that a decade later would become “Love Can’t Turn Around.”
