Not exactly what I thought I’d hear from Plastik People, which specializes in deep cuts of Deep House, Garage and the sort of things that happen when their elementary particles smash together. Instead: so soulful it hurts, Reelsoul take on the Arnold Jarvis track “Want To Have Your Love.” Jarvis sounds fantastic on this track: a silk smooth voice that wraps around you like a velour jacket but can cut like a razor to deliver a catty line. Reelsoul’s sound is basically an establishment now, and in the way that certain remixers back in the ’90s had “that sound,” Reelsoul have got it too.
