We’re back again with a new mix from a DJ/producer whose sound we’ve long admired, Chile’s Jorge C.
“Rhythm is the foundation for Chilean producer and DJ Jorge C,” his bio begins, and a cursory listen makes it hard to argue with that. Through his label Ojodeapolo he’s explored the multifaceted sounds of Chicago house and Detroit house, giving a platform to many of the genre’s giants known and unsung, from Rick Wade to Hieroglyphic Being, Chicago Skyway to Kai Alcé.
He’s also released his own music on labels including Matrix Recordings (Detroit), DeepArtSounds (Zürich) and Dopeness Galore (Amsterdam) as well as Ojodeapolo.cl. As a performer and DJ Jorge C. has traveled to various places in South America including D-Edge in Sao Paulo, Paloma Bar in Berlin and also in Japan.
