Egyptian Lover test drives the new Roland TR-1000

This week, Roland announced the TR-1000 Rhythm Creator, built on the legacy of Roland’s iconic TR- series drum machines.

The TR-1000 was built “from the ground up with input from influential artists and the community,” combining analog warmth with digital precious, stereo sampling with deep sequencing into a single modern instrument for producers, performers and sound designers.

One of those was beatmaking legend The Egyptian Lover, who called the finished TR-1000 “a beast. You can have that thing for a year and still find out things that you didn’t know before.” He demo’d the TR-1000 in a video dropped by Roland.
