Delusions of Grandeur has wrapped up a bright kaleidoscope of dancefloor delights in this small package: Dawn, a new 12″ that dropped last week and featuring four early morning show stoppers from Session Victim.

“Taste of Life” evokes the sound and vibe of one of my favorite Spencer Kincy dancefloor remedies, “Festival,” mixed down into a boogie groove. The exhilarating “Hear The Sun” features Iron Curtis on vocoder welcoming the new day in a track that sounds like Patrice Scott-meets-Tangerine Dream. “Dawn” with Nebraska drags a dramatic groove like a trawling hook; the dubby remix by Sven Weisemann makes me happy.
