Find this one in the racks and you better pick up doubles because this is gold. Allegedly the “first Los Hermanos EP on vinyl in over a decade,” Another Day smolders long and burns bright as Gerald Mitchell’s Detroit house and techno collective is tuned up and primed.

The A side is given over entirely to a luscious spread of jazzy deep house and thick melodies called “Another Day.” My first thought is that I was hearing maybe the best sunset/sunrise powerhouse track of the year, with a vocal that eases in and just takes over your mind. On second thought: delete everything before “track of the year.” Without copying someone else’s style or joining the derivative mush that makes up most bestseller charts, Mitchell has made a track that touches the soul in such a profound way. And it will be loved by any crowd.

The B-side tracks feature a techy jazz jam called “Binary Funk Infusion” featuring Bob Rogue and a heartfelt R&B shakedown with Billy Love called “Let Love Live.”
